Hope you are enjoying the lovely sunshine. We have been blessed this week with great sunshine, fingers crossed it remains this way. Talking of sunshine I would like to introduce you to a footwear brand from The Balearics called Solillas. I was invited by Lucy Dartford PR to attend press launch of Solillas at Boxpark Mall in East London, last week.
At the event, Solillas showcased their new SS14 collection designed for women, men and kids. Their range is colourful and fun which draws inspiration from the bohemian Balearic lifestyle. Their new Balearic sandal collection is also stocked at Office stores ( UK footwear brand). Every pair of Solillas sandal is handmade in the small Menorcan town of Ferreries with highest quality materials supporting traditional craftsmanship skills and the local economy. The leather for Solillas is sourced from Spain and Italy, making sure only the finest quality ingredients are used. Solillas have also teamed up with great Balearic designers, artists and illustrators to produce their much awaited women’s clothing range. The event also marked the launch of their women’s clothing range along with live hand painting of a special edition of Solillas sandals by Emma Charlton who is a body painter based in Ibiza. I absolutely loved the sandals exclusively hand painted by Emma and they are among my favourite sandals.
To be honest I am not huge fan of sandals but the sandals from Solillas have a good shape, apt for people who don’t want to show their toe nails too much like me. The sandals for women are priced between £44 to £52. You can have a look at their website for the full range. If you like to try out stuff before buying and do not prefer online shopping , then there is good news for you. l is resident at Boxpark Mall for few months now, so you can now try out the sandals before your purchase.
