It’s a ton less demanding to get dressed fashionably when you know what pieces work best for your shape, especially for petite girls like me
However being petite dressing for my petite frame has been always a challenge. I love wearing dresses but most dresses available on the high street don’t fit me well. Thanks to retailers like Marks and Spencer dressing the petite body has become a lot more easier, who cater to the petite market. M&S recently launched an ultimate dress guide and new summer womenswear collection including one for us petites. I love the petite range of their new summer womenswear collection, so I picked up a petite scallop edge lace tunic dress for their dress your shape blog collaboration. Since I am petite and an apple shape, I have a slim lower body and I carry weight around my middle part. My goal for choosing a dress is, to always select one which helps to minimise my midsection and highlights my legs. I chose this tunic dress with a relaxed cut which glides over the stomach and has a structured silhouette that de-emphasises the stomach. This lace dress also has a loose fit around the midsection and snugly sleeves which helps to conceal all my problem areas. I paired this beautiful dress with a black clutch bag, top earrings and platinum/silver bracelet. This is a great look for brunch, summer weddings or a date night.

My style tip for all petite ladies would be to invest in a good tunic or shift dresses from a petite range. Tunic or shift dresses help slim trouble areas and elongate the legs.

M&S have a varied range of summer dresses to suit different body shapes so if you are petite and apple like me or fall into any other category check out their gorgeous collection here.
