Forget the Christmas sweater, the grotesque green and red combinations that will make your outfit camouflage with the Christmas tree and drop the reindeer hair accessories if you want to look classy and chic. Most Christmas parties, especially corporate parties can have certain dress codes, such as all white, glam or formal.
Here are a few tips for petite women.
- Go for a knee-length dress
No matter what you go for, a bodycon, a sequin number, a little red dress or a white lady-like lace dress, pay attention to the length of the dress. Knee length dresses make us petite woman look taller. You can choose any style, but I love the black dress above from Miss Selfridge which is a stretchy material that will make you look elegant yet feel comfortable at the same time. Miss Selfridge also has a petite section and you can choose one from their petite line.
- Choose shoes with medium heel
Speaking of which, choose your Christmas party shoes with a medium heel if you are petite so they make you look tall enough without you suffering.Choose a more comfortable pair of elegant, simple shoes rather than wearing ridiculous high stilettos that you’ll replace for ballerinas somewhere in the middle of the party. Choose the shoes that will allow you to dance and feel amazing!
- Add a statement accessory
In the end, you don’t want a boring look, so here is where a nice accessory will help you out. If you want to bring an element of Christmas try some cool stud earrings or a sweet Christmas inspired brooch. Have some fun with your outfit, but keep it elegant, and most importantly comfortable! Now you’re ready to rock that Christmas party!
