Today’s Petite Fashion Outfit Of The Day is a black skort and floral printed top from New Look. I have been a huge fan of skorts( actually shorts but looks like a skirt) this season, it’s a great option for us petite ladies who can’t find a skirt with the right length. I love it as it’s quite short and elongates my legs giving me a taller illusion. I teamed up my favourite skort with a floral top, if you have been following my blog you know my love for floral print. I wore this outfit last weekend when we went to Oxford for a day out. I love Oxford the city has beautiful architecture and quintessential British vibe to it. You can see two pictures of the Oxford architecture above. I went to Oxford Castle which has lots of restaurants and pubs inside the courtyard and fun for a day out. I do suggest going to Oxford if you haven’t been there before. You can find my outfit details below:

Petite Fashion Tip:  Don’t be afraid to try out floral prints, the trick for us petite girls is to select smaller prints which don’t seem to swallow our petite frame. I highly recommend trying out a skort which is very comfortable yet stylish.

  1. I love how you’ve styled the skort, I am not brave enough to wear one – I wouldn’t know what to wear with it (until now! it goes great with the floral top!). You look lovely in this outfit!

So sorry you’re having issues with Afterlight. What is it that you’re struggling with? Let me know and I will try to help. What I do is upload a photo, and then tweak it using the Adjustment tools first of all. Although I can understand how difficult it can be if you’re not familiar with the icons, they can be very confusing but the main ones to go back to are brightness, contrast, exposure and possible colour temperature. Then I add the filters but i turnthe opacity on the slider by 80/90%. The final thing I do is add the light leak, again, turning the opacity down so it’s not too overpowering. Hope this helps a little bit xxx

    1. Thank you so much Carol. I have tried on few stuff from New Look petite range and I like them. However I have noticed their petite collection is getting smaller day by day 🙁

  2. I’ve been wondering if Skorts work for us petite ladies, and it really suits you. I’m going to try some on next time I go shopping!

  3. I love the skorts that are around at the moment, you look great in yours. (I’m a bit old now for this trend). I like how you’ve teamed it with a pretty feminine top. I’ve never actally been to Oxford, I really must go, your photos are fantastic, you can really see the architecture!
