Next Playsuit Fun: Petite Edit

Playsuit: Next size 8(Similar), Shoes:Petite Shoe Boutique* size 35 (Same here), Purse: Bvlgari,Necklace: Accessorize (Same here)

Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a good day. Last weekend I went to this beautiful National Trust House & Gardens near my house to do a quick photo shoot. I love this Next playsuit which I bought last year and was waiting for summers to wear it. The Khaki colour goes well with my skin tone. The playsuit is UK size 8 and not from the petite section but it fits me quite well.

Next Playsuit, Petite Fashion

I actually ordered this online and wasn’t sure if it would fit me well, however when I wore it was absolutely spot on. I do shop a lot from Next petite section and when I don’t find something from their petite section I buy from their normal range. I would like to highlight playsuits work very well for my petite body type. I am just not petite I am petite and curvy, I have a belly which I constantly need to camouflage it, till I lose the belly :P. The best part of this Next playsuit is that it can be pulled up to adjust the height as it has a drawstring near the waist. The material is very soft and comfortable, however it does crease very easily. If you are looking for a comfortable playsuit this summer, I suggest you check Next out.

I loved the beautiful flowers at this garden and took quite a few shots for you guys to enjoy. Coming back to the playsuit I paired it with open toe platform heels* from petite shoe label Bijou available at The Petite Shoe Boutique, Bvlgari purse and necklace from Accessorize.

The shoes are quite comfortable and are made from fine leather. If you have petite shoe size like me, make sure to check Petite Shoe Boutique out. I had great fun doing the photo shoot. All images have been taken by my husband. I think the shoes went well with the Next Khaki playsuit and I am going to wear this combination more often.

Petite Edition: How To Wear 1 Dress In 3 Different Ways ?

How to wear 1 dress 3 ways

Hello Everyone! Hope you are having a great day. Today’s blog post is about a little petite fashion experiment I did over the weekend. I have a lovely floral dress from Topshop which I wanted to mix and match with different pieces. The floral dress is not from petite section and is size 8, however it fits me perfectly.

Outfit 1– I have paired Topshop UK size 8 floral dress with medium size Twist Lock Elastic Waist Belt from Oasis. This belt is a blessing in disguise if you have a tummy. It camouflaged the belly and gave the outfit a great look. The shoes are my staple Barratt pointed black suede heels in size 3.

Shoes- Barratt ,UK size 3

Outfit 2–  I paired the dress with Topshop Petite Satin Joggers. When I thought of this idea, I was absolutely sure I would look bonkers but it turned to look really great. Of course there was bit of dress material which you will need to adjust accordingly so that you don’t look like you have something stacked underneath. I was very happy with the look and this gave me an idea what kind of top would look great with the joggers as I was struggling to find one which looks good with it. While writing this blog, I have been on a personal fashion journey and constantly discovering what works on my petite frame . So if you are a petite girl and have any suggestion or feedback do write to me.

Outfit 3- I bought this Matalan skirt for an upcoming holiday. I was quite excited to wear it but once I was back from the holiday I never ended up wearing it anywhere. I thought I will try this skirt with the dress and see how it looks. To my surprise it kind of looked quite cute and I was very happy and can’t wait to wear to a brunch with the girls.

Tiffany & Co Bracelet: My Favourite Jewellery Item

Tiffany Bead Bracelet

Tiffany Bead Bracelet

Tiffany Bead Bracelet

Hello! Hope you are having a great day. Today’s blog post is about my favourite jewellery item, it’s my Tiffany & Co bracelet. I received this bracelet as a present on my hen party from my cousin. This is the best present I have received so far. I absolutely love the Tiffany & Co. bracelet and wear it most times with my chunky watch. I love delicate jewellery and no one can do it better than Tiffany & Co. This my first blue box although it’s not a diamond ring but may be one day. I am giving my Mr. a subtle hint 😛 that I would like to own more items like the Tiffany & Co bracelet.

This bracelet is part of the Return to Tiffany range and is inspired by a design which dates back to 1969. It’s a 7 inch long sterling silver bead bracelet with a mini heart tag. The beads are four millimetre long and are absolutely beautiful. When I think of Tiffany & Co. words like elegance, class and sophistication come to my mind and it reminds me of my role model Audrey Hepburn. I loved the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, it’s one my favourite movies. I am sure loads of you ladies love the movie, it’s such great mix of romance and elegance; loved the way Tiffany’s was shown who would respect every customer irrespective of their budget.

When I was in San Francisco, I went to their store in Union Square and the store was absolutely marvellous. I fell in love as soon as I entered and wanted to buy almost everything. Coming back to my bracelet you can wear this bracelet on it’s own or you could also pair it with a nice watch. When I am wearing a girly dress I often just wear the bracelet on it’ own however  when I am wearing a jeans and blazer, I pair it with my chunky watch.

For UK readers, the bracelet is priced at £130 and can be bought online from their website. For US readers, the bracelet is priced at $150 and can be also bought from their US website.

6 Petite Dresses Under £30

6 Petite Dresses under £30

Hello Ladies! How are you doing? Summer is here and I try to wear floral dresses as much as possible. The weather is very unpredictable here in the UK, it can be grey and cloudy one minute and next minute we can see the sun shining. The good thing about wearing a dress is even if it’s not very warm we can pair it with blazers and tights.

Being petite, it is very difficult to find dresses however I have found few great floral petite dresses from high street retailers under £30. I have selected some great petite dresses with different floral prints and pattern to help you find the one you love. My favourite from the selection is the dress with pink flowers in the first row. The dress is from Dorothy Perkins and is for £28, it would go great with nude pumps.

Here is a list of the dresses that I have featured in the post.
Dress 1-Petite Blue Ditsy Floral Print Strappy Dress £9.99, New Look
Dress 2- Petite neoprene fit and flare £28, Dorothy Perkins

My Makeup Essentials

My Makeup Essentials

I love makeup and hardly leave the house without makeup. I have acne prone skin and currently have pimples and acne scars that I need to camaflage all the time. Here’s a list of products I use daily before I step out of the house

1.Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation– The shade looks lighter in the photo (due to camera flash, apologies ladies). This is one of the best liquid foundations I have ever used,it blends well and covers all my acne scars giving my skin a flawless finish. I highly recommend this foundation and be sure to use it with a sponge to get the flawless finish. One tip please do not listen to anyone what shade would suit you as most sales girls suggest the wrong shade. I have been to makeup classes and this is one tip all makeup artist would tell you test the foundation on your skin in daylight and check for yourself . I have been suggested the wrong shade almost every time. I contour my face so I use lighter tone in the liquid foundation and use a very dark shade from the sleek contour kit to achieve the desired look. You will see more information on the sleek contour kit as you read further. The mac studio fix is £21.50 and can be bought online. However I will suggest you to go to the nearest Mac store and test the shade before your purchase. Mac has a huge selection of shades matching almost every skin tone.

2.Sleek  Face Contour Kit–  I use the Medium shade which has one light and one dark shade. I love contouring as it helps to sculpt your face to give it a dimension. I used to have an oval face before and as I have put on weight, my face has become round. Contouring helps to sharpen and accentuate my features. The Face Contour Kit from Sleek is only £6.49 and can be bought from their website.

My Makeup Essentials

3.Models Own Powder Blush – I use the Cheeky Pink PB002 powder blush from Models Own. I love the colour and the way it compliments my skin tone. My skin tone is Indian tan and pinks blends very well. I love Models Own products, I got the blusher for £5 from their Bottle shop in Westfield London. They make life so much easier. After I have bought their products like the hyper gel nail polish and nail polish eraser I don’t need to go salons regularly for manicures;I can do it myself at home and achieve a salon like finish. You can also buy products from their website which is a blessing for me.

4. Models Own Lipgloss–  Currently I am using the Models Own lip gloss in shade Madame Rose LG104. I love this shade it is a natural pink, ideal for day time and night-time. I generally apply strawberry lip balm and then put the lipgloss on top of it. I line my lips with Mac Dervish lip pencil. I bought the Models Own lip gloss as part of their promotion ‘buy 6 products for £20’. The lip gloss is also priced at £5.

5. Bourjois Paris Intuitive Liner-  I discovered this liner at boots when I was looking for a liner that would help me to create cat eyes. This is one the best eye liner I have ever bought. The liner has been created after being inspired by the famous art technique of dotting and forms a dotted, intense and fine line in one easy application. There is absolutely no risk of wobbly lines or overlapping making it very easy to use. If you are new to using eye liners I recommend you try this out. The liner can be bought at boots, Selfridges and many main stream retailers. I bought the liner for £6.99. You can check it out here.

6. Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner– I use the shade birthday suit, it gives  a nice subtle shimmery finish. I wear this eyeshadow almost everyday. I love Benefit cosmetics however the products are very expensive. I bought this eye shadow pot for £15.50. You can check out the eyeshadow here.

These are my makeup essentials that I can’t live without. I use them almost everyday for my make up routine. Hope you liked the post.

What makeup products do you use? Do share them with me.You can stay connected with me on BloglovinTwitter,Facebook and Instagram. Looking forward to connecting with you ladies :)

My Instagram Snapshot

My Instagram Snapshot

Hello everyone! Today’s post is a snapshot of my Instagram photos. I am quite new to Instagram and not yet addicted to it but I try to post photos I like when ever I can. Photos can speak more than words to me. Here is a quick snapshot of my Instagram timeline and the most liked photos.

The car in the snapshot was captured in Spitalfields market in East London. It’s a quite interesting way to showcase fashion. Also next it to it is a cute cupcake van. I loved the way the cupcake van has been created and decorated. I love bright colours and it instantly caught my attention. If you are visiting Spitalfields market the van is just next to the Benefit Store. If you love vintage stuff and like to check out new designers, I recommend visiting Spitalfields market on Saturday. The style market takes places on Saturdays showcasing new designers. I haven’t yet checked it out but will visit soon and update you all.

Another interesting photo on that I posted on Instagram was the Sweet Virtues Truffle. Sweet Virtues is a new upcoming food brand creating handmade super food truffles. The truffles are dairy free and absolutely delicious. They haven’t launched yet in full swing but I recommend trying them out when they launch. I came across Bobo’s Juicery at the Little Shop of Beauty event. They make cold pressed organic juices and smoothies. I was never fan of drinking vegetable smoothies even after knowing they are packed with nutrients but when I tried their A Bit of Ruff(age) juice a mix of fruit and vegetables I am now a convert. The juice is absolutely delicious and packed with nutrients and vitamins. They deliver to most post codes in London and you can order the juices online. Each juice is priced £5 which is a bit expensive but it is totally worth it.

I am trying to live a healthy life and have been looking for restaurants and cafe serving food sourced from organic ingredients. One of my favourite place for lunch time meal is Le Pain Quotidien. One of the pics in the Instagram snapshot is the Toasted Smoked Chicken & Mozzarella Tartine from Le Pain Quotidien, it’s delicious. Do check them out ladies if you haven’t yet.

Did you enjoy the post? Please do let me know if there is any particular kinds of post you would like me to write regularly. I love hearing from you. You can stay connected with me on BloglovinTwitter,Facebook and Instagram. Looking forward to connecting with you ladies :)

Visiting Tips: Make sure you wear comfortable shoes, it’s  a 10 min walk from Notting Hill tube station and quite a large area full of shops. I was wearing heels and was so tired by the end of the whole tour.

Be sure to carry your camera and carry cash as lot of shops don’t accept card payments. Try your luck bargaining as you can get some discount at the independent shops. Make sure you carry a map or use maps on your phone if it’s your first visit.

Petite Lazy Girl Weight Loss Challenge: Week 3

Petite Lazy Girl Weight Loss Challenge

Hello Ladies! Last Week I was feeling quite low and didn’t workout so apologies that I couldn’t post petite lazy girl weight loss challenge week 3 updates. This week is my week 3 as I missed last week’s workout. Week 2 of my weight loss journey saw some tiny improvement and it motivated me to work harder. I am on week 2 of the Race for Life 5K jogging plan. This week I have been doing two 15 min sessions and one 18 min session of jogging & walking and 2 days of light exercise. From last week what’s different, is the increase in time and you walk for 1 min but jog or 2 mins in each session as opposed to 1 min jog and 2 mins walk. I was doing very well in week 1 of the plan, week 2 seems to be challenging for me especially jogging at 3.5 mph. I haven’t gone jogging in years and feel like I can’t jog any more. I have been extremely sad, looking at my condition and I am not even 30. I am determined to get back my fitness  and I am now trying to do my workouts in the morning so that I don’t have any excuse to skip them after work.

Just before my morning workout I am drinking Herbalife Strawberry protein shake with almond milk as I have hormonal acne and have stopped diary completely. I am a Herbalife distributor in case any of you want anything ordered do let me know.

Introducing Perfect Eyelashes

Perfect EyelashesPerfect Eyelashes

Perfect Eyelashes

Perfect Eyelashes by Agnes Dos Santos*

I love natural false eyelashes. Accentuating your eyes with false eyelashes can really enhance your eyes. I am a recent convert to natural false eyelashes and wear them when I am going to a party or for a special occasion. Currently I am using Natural Luxurious Strip Lashes from Perfect Eyelashes by Agnes Dos Santos. The strip lashes are made from human hair that is ethically sourced in Europe. They are designed and tested in UK. Perfect Eyelashes was established in 2009 and are a reputable brand in the eyelash industry with salons in Holborn, Harley Street and Kensington. At their salons they offer variety of luxurious eyelash extension.

The first time when I used strip lashes from Perfect Eyelashes I was impressed that it was so lightweight and made from human hair as opposed to being synthetic. The lashes look so natural and neatly sit on top of your own lashes. They fit my eye socket quite well but if you need to adjust you can always cut it, to suit your eyes. The lashes are re-usable which means you don’t have keep buying another pair after one use. I am a huge fan of re-usable lashes as you don’t have to bust your wallet. The lashes looked so natural that you can wear them anywhere. The lashes would look good with natural day time makeup as well as heavy party makeup. They came in a “You are Beautiful” case which is so easy to open unlike the ones you get in supermarkets.

I went to a house party wearing the strip lashes and got so many compliments. Most of my friends said they looked so natural which is a great compliment. I would highly recommend you ladies to check out their website. If your wedding day is coming up and you are looking for specialised lash extension experts then I would suggest checking out Perfect Eyelashes salons in London.

Hope you liked the post. Do you use false lashes? Do you like them? You can stay connected with me on BloglovinTwitter,Facebook and Instagram. Looking forward to connecting with you ladies :)
