One great way to layer the top part of your outfit is by adding a sweater over a tee or button up shirt. What you need to take into consideration is making sure the button up is visible and goes together with the sweater, either by following a similar color tone or by adding some structure to the look, being a different fabric pattern.
Loose sweaters and loose tops are also a match made in heaven, as well as fur vests and long tops.
If you don’t want to look too chunky, add a belt over your shirt to balance the over all look. Don’t forget to style your outfit with a scarf and adapt your outfit to the season outside, by the way.
Then again, a layering pro knows how to deal with the lower part of the outfit too, and how to create a perfect layered outfit by combining skirts, dresses, pants, tights and even socks together.
Given its winter season, this is the best time to style up your tights with some cool ankle or knee high socks, to add some attitude and fashion to your look. This is a trend, trust me.
Playing with different boot heights and cozy warm socks is another way to layer the lower part of your outfit and look amazing. Over the knee boots are quite trendy this season and I got one from Public Desire.
Do not forget accessories such as statement necklaces, waist belts, scarves, and oversized rings, bracelets and not to forget, a pair of mittens to stay warm and look classy all winter long! Now you know how to layer clothes like a pro!
Hope you enjoyed the post. Do you have any layering tips? I would love to hear from you.

I often layer my outfits. Not only does it provide extra warmth in the winter, but I think layers add so much visual interest to a look. I absolutely love your coat and the boots are fabulous!

I agree, I’d much rather wear tons of layers than one bulky item. It makes it easier to peel off clothing if it gets too warm rather than be stuck having to wear something. Cute look!
I love your tip about how to layer a button up top with a sweater. That is a look I really love to wear.

I love layering at the moment – my favourite is a roll neck under pretty much everything!
